Lake Powell

This last weekend Tim & I had the opportunity to go down to Lake Powell with Daphne and Bronson.  Lots of fun!

Saying Goodbye to Taylor

On June 4th we went and said Goodbye to Taylor.  It was a very emotional day for all of us.  I am so proud of Taylor and for all the men and women that are serving our country.

Girls Sleepover

Last night we had Addison, Emerson, and Abby sleep over.  For a fun surprise we took them to get some colored hair extenstion put it.  We were told it was a "dream come true" for one of them:)  Her mom knows which one I am talking about.  Addi was very hesitant to get it done until she saw how excited Eme and Abby were.  Miss Eme was extremely nervous when Selena was putting them in but afterwords loved it!  She only charged us $2 per extenstion.  We let the girls pick out their own colors.  Miss Eme got pink and blue, Abbys got blue and red, and Addi got 2 pinks.

for dinner we did McDonald Happy Meals

House

We currently only have 1 bathroom and the bedrooms are small.  We are starting an addition to add on another bathroom and to make our master bedroom a little larger.  Here is a picture of where the addition is going to go.  I will keep posted on our update.  This next week is going to be a big one.  We will be tearing down our wall starting where the glass sliding doors are all the way to our gate on the left of the house. On Saturday we will hopefully get all framed up and enclosed.  Thankfully we have very wonderful brothers and brother in laws who are handy and willing to come and help us along with some other wonderful helpers.  We are so thankful and excited for this addition.

I love my husband!

I love my husband!  Today his car was in the shop so he took me to work and then had to pick me up. When he came to pick me up he had a couple of surprises for me.  First off he had gotten my 4 wheel drive knob fixed in my car.  This has been broken back in August and he kept saying he would get it fixed and today he surprised me with it.  But wait there's more...he also had the car stero installed that he got me for christmas and in the stereo was a mixed cd.  For those of you that don't know I LOVE mixed cd's.  They make me happier than almost any other gifts.  Crazy I know but I just love them.  Everytime I have tried to tell him that he would always make fun of me for it and tell me how cheesy it was.  I know it's cheesy but I'm cheesy.  He also gave me a Barnes & Noble gift card so I can order some books for my Nook.  When I asked him why all the surprises he just said, "Do I need a reason to spoil my wife?"  I am one lucky girl:)  I need to have him take me to work more often if this is what I get when I get picked up;)  Tonight while I was in on our computer he called out to me to come into the living room and this is how I found him....
Yup that's a Snuggy.  He gave it to me for Christmas and I have never used it and so he said he was taking it over. Gotta love it.  So of course I had to get a picture of him using it.

Someone is now blonde

After being in hair school for a year Tim has finally dyed his hair.  I got a call from him last Thursday when I was on my way to my girls craft night telling me he had lightened it.  I didn't get to see it midnight that night.  I love his black hair but I don't mind his blonde.  For a while it kept throwing me off when I would see him with the blonde but it looks good on him.  For our girls craft night we made the cutest headband!  I don't have a picture yet but I will post one soon.  I just need to get one of Tim's doll heads to pose them on:)

Little added touches to our house

Little by little we are getting our house all put together.  We went to Taipan the other day and I found these fun hooks that I hung by our front door.  I love them!
This is going to be my holiday area.  I love this bench that my brother in law Chris made me for Christmas. It's the first thing you see as you enter our house.  Becky's mom made the fabulous quilt.  It's so fun and bright and happy.  I love it.
This is the quote I have above my front door.  I just love this quote from Pres. Hinckley.  I am enjoying mom having the vinyl machine:)
Our new table!  I was so excited to get this!  As much as I loved our old table and mismatched chairs (2 folding chairs, a camp chair, and a chair that my dad uses outside) I am so happy we got this. For those of you who saw our house when we first got it you will notice that Tim has filled in our wall and done a fabulous job!  I love having the room closed off.  For those of you who didn't see our house before where the curio cabinet is was a big opening for two doors.  When we purchased the home there were no doors and just an opening.  I love having the bedroom closed off.
